HeckelAI is a proud signatory of the United Nations SDG Publishers Compact, a voluntary framework co-created by the United Nations and the International Publishers Association (IPA) to accelerate progress towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As an open-access think-tank and e-publication, we actively commit to embedding sustainability, responsibility, and data ethics into our core publishing strategy. While we support the broader 2030 Agenda, our editorial output and research frameworks focus heavily on two specific global goals:

SDG 9 — Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: We support sustainable industrialization and foster innovation by translating global complex AI regulations (like the EU AI Act) into actionable engineering blueprints. This lowers compliance barriers for developers and tech startups, de-risking the future of digital infrastructure.

SDG 16 — Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: We promote effective, accountable, and transparent institutional frameworks. By providing open-access risk assessment matrices and peer-reviewed legal analyses, we advocate for algorithmic transparency, accountability, and ethical governance in artificial intelligence.
Our 10-Point Pledge: As part of the Compact, we commit to prioritizing open science, keeping our platform 100% open-access to eliminate financial barriers for global researchers, maintaining paperless/digital-only operations, and raising continuous awareness of tech-legal compliance among our global academic community.
